Evening Yoga with Alexis Rice

You’re invited to join a gentle and supportive yoga practice focused on listening to your body. There’s no expectation to be flexible or experienced, this practice is about moving in a way that feels right for you.

We connect movement with breath and take time to notice how the body feels, rather than forcing any pose. You’re always encouraged to rest, modify, and move at your own pace.

This is a space to slow down, release tension, and build awareness in a kind, non-judgmental environment. The goal isn’t to do yoga perfectly - it’s simply to show up, breathe, and be present with yourself.

Please bring your yoga mat!

Option to bring blocks, yoga strap, cushion.

FREE College Planning & Essay Writing Workshops

FREE College Planning & Essay Writing Workshops

For high school juniors and their parents
Every 3rd Saturday, February through May
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Brought to you by Ace the Essay

Let’s be real—this is not something students magically know how to do, nor is it something parents instinctively know how to guide. Most students don’t feel overwhelmed because they aren’t smart or capable; they feel overwhelmed because too many decisions get pushed into senior year all at once. Starting earlier reduces stress and improves outcomes.

Founded by Valerie Conte, a literary scholar and writer with 20+ years of marketing and branding experience, Ace the Essay offers a distinctive approach to college planning and essay writing. By using real-world marketing strategies, you’ll learn how to identify your strengths, understand your value, and make a genuine connection with admissions officers through your essay and application. After all, college admissions is ultimately a communication process—and knowing how to market yourself to the review board is crucial.

Somatic Breathwork for Resilience
May

Somatic Breathwork for Resilience

This breathwork group is an invitation to come as you are, shed what no longer supports you, and remember your resilience. Whether you're new to breathwork or have a personal practice, this space is to support you in reconnecting to your body's innate wisdom.

Please bring:

  • Yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • Journal

  • Wear comfortable clothing, layers are ideal as it’s normal to feel a fluctuation in body temperature during this practice.

  • OPTIONAL: eye mask, item for the community alter

Somatic Breathwork* is an active meditation that uses a three-part breath technique to support the deep healing of the mind, body and Spirit. The three-part breath technique occupies the thinking-mind so the rest of the body can self-heal without the cognitive intervention of narrative and thought.

Breathwork is a powerful practice that can help the breather: rewrite outdated stories and subconscious beliefs, break through feelings stuckness, provide a path to feeling more “in” your body, reconnection to inner/ancestral wisdom, deeper connection to aliveness, strengthen resilience and help one access an expanded state of consciousness.

* Contraindications: A breathwork practice is not currently recommended for: people in pregnancy (unless you have discussed it with a medical doctor or already have a regular practice), epilepsy, retinal detachment, glaucoma, high blood pressure not controlled by medication, cardiovascular disease, family history of aneurysm, strokes and neurological conditions, and severe osteoporosis. If you have any questions about Breathwork, or if it is right for you please do not hesitate to reach out to Ciana Marie.

We would love to have a wide range of styles and adult sizes available, so mascs, femmes, plus-size folks, and humans of all styles, please join us! Kids are welcome to join, but we will not be swapping kids’ clothes. We will only accept donations day-of, as we do not have storage for advance drop-offs. When you arrive, volunteers will greet you and take donations to be sorted by type and size. If weather allows, we will have an area in the alley (outside the main entrance) for painting and stamping clothes to breathe fresh life into them. While this event is free to attend, we welcome monetary donations to Wander and/or to Berkshire Trans Exchange. Wander will have a limited menu available for purchase, and there will be an eating/drinking area so that we don’t spill on the clothes. But no purchases or donations are required– we welcome you to join us and take home some clothes, whether or not you’re able to bring any.

This is a community event, and we need help to make it happen! If you can contribute anything listed below, please reach out to wanderclothingswap@gmail.com

  • Volunteers!

    • Greeters

    • Clothes sorters

    • Clean up crew

    • Creative support for clothing stamping/painting station

  • Clothing racks for hanging clothes (to lend for the duration of event)

  • Hangers

  • Shoe racks (ideally collapsible, to lend for the duration of event)

Accessibility Information:

  • Wander is located at 34 Depot Street, and has 2 entrances: one is in the alley, past Tito’s. If you’re coming from North Street, you come down Depot Street, then turn right into the alley (technically called Liberty Street), and Wander is on your left up a few stairs. We also have an entrance from our shared, free parking lot on Depot Street (across the street from the public lot next to the parking garage). On a Sunday afternoon, you can park in any of the spots besides spots marked for Tito’s. To enter from that side, come in through the double glass doors, and you can get to our space on the 2nd floor via elevator on the left, or stairs on the right. Once you come in from the back entrance, you will go down a short hallway and turn left to go down a ramp and into the space.

  • We have 2 gender-neutral bathrooms. One has 2 individual stalls, and one has a stall and a urinal.

  • Masks will not be required, but are always welcome. Please do not attend if you are sick!

  • Our space has lots of overlapping noises, including music, conversation, and the sounds from our espresso machine, dishwasher, etc.

  • We are not a scent-free space, but it’s always considerate to use unscented products when coming to a group event, especially one where people will be touching and trying on clothes and may have chemical and scent sensitivities. If possible, please wash clothes in unscented detergent before bringing them to swap.

  • We have a variety of seating available, including couches, armchairs, and dining seats without arms. Our space is pretty large and open, but there are corners with furniture placed close together that may be hard to navigate when using mobility devices. We will do our best to make ADA-compliant spacing throughout the space for this swap.

  • If there are specific access questions or requests, contact us at wanderclothingswap@gmail.com

The Sacred Pause

Tuesdays beginning April 7 | 11:30–12:45

In times of chaos and upheaval — and really, anytime — it is a radical act of sanity to take up residence in the present moment.

Taking a pause… slowing down… allowing the nervous system a break from constant input… is a powerful form of self-care.

The Sacred Pause is a weekly community space to gently practice presence together.

Each gathering will include:

• simple mindfulness practices
• a brief, accessible reflection on topics like
 – how mindfulness works
 – common misunderstandings
 – why it can be hard to stay present
• space for quiet connection

No experience is needed.
Come a little early to grab a drink or some food.
Stay for the full time or just drop in for what you can.

Cate Wolff is a psychotherapist in Pittsfield, a trauma-sensitive yoga teacher, and a long-time meditation practitioner who first learned mindfulness from Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Free and open to all.
Goodwill donations welcome for Wander.

Narrative Processing + Liberatory Visioning Workshop

Join us for our monthly Narrative Processing + Liberatory Visioning Workshop

This is a casual, communal gathering hosted by seeing rainbows, where we hold space with writing, reflection, and collective dreaming. Together, we stand intentionally in the liminal space between past and present, drawing on the generative energy of the group and the container we build to nurture a shared sense of liberation.

In this continuing workshop (2nd Sunday of the month), we’ll explore the power of narrative for visioning and healing; though rooted in writing, all mediums and forms of expression are welcome.

REGISTER HERE.

This is an open workshop, with cis allies welcomed. Come early to grab a beverage and snack.
