DRAG WORKSHOP SERIES in collaboration With Seeing Rainbows + Berkshire Pulse + Foundry
Looking to up your game as a drag performer? Tired of your moves? Need some help killing it?! Want to ignite your true dragarama voice?!! Come join us to increase your moves, dance skills and overall performance quality in a three workshop series that ends with a performance at The Foundry in West Stockbridge to kick off pride month!!!
At each workshop we’ll learn new moves, find ways to create interesting choreography that highlights your skills and makes you stand out and get feedback on how to sell it. This is not Ru Paul, but a community building non-competitive art fest that will give you confidence to be the big bold beautiful fully integrated dragstar that you want to be!
Sign up fast because we’re capping participation at 10 so each person gets tons of airtime to shine. Please bring a song that you’ve been working on and one you want to dive into. These two songs will be part of the end of session drag performance fest hosted by Tipsy MacBoozle at The Foundry.
This series is hosted + taught by Tom Truss, who is an actor, dancer, educator and raging fag.
For over 30 years he’s been working with people of all ages and abilities in the world of dance and theater. He started wearing his sisters’ dresses when he was 13, and even though he got in trouble for it, he kept on doing it. His favorite character is Tipsy MacBoozle, a drunken cabaret singer that leads sing-alongs. He loves playing Tipsy because she allows his true voice to shine.

Participation for all three workshops isn’t required but is suggested.

Join us for an Art Slam, a fast-paced, fun, and interactive event where artists take the stage to present their work, share their process, and engage in conversation—just like a poetry slam, but for visual art!
How it works:
Artists have 5 minutes to present their work (live, we will have an easel; or digitally, we will have a projector/screen).
Then, it's 5 minutes of feedback, questions, or open discussion with the group.
Up to 7 artists can present per session.
All skill levels and art forms are welcome! Artists must sign up to present, but everyone is welcome to attend and listen.

for a three-part evening of queer stories

"Old Lesbians" film, a 30-minute documentary, tells the story of retired schoolteacher Arden Eversmeyer, who journeyed from Houston across the country to record hundreds of oral "herstories" with a mostly invisible population of older lesbians.
Berkshire Queer History Project (BQHP) collects, preserves, shares, and connects the contemporary and historical stories of the LGBTQ+ community of the Berkshires. You can sign up now to be interviewed that night, or arrange with them for an interview at a later date.
Western Mass LGBTQ+ Oral History Project covers the lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals who lived, worked, and socialized in Western Massachusetts during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The oral histories will be collected by Dr. Anne Wheeler, an Associate Professor of Composition & Rhetoric at Springfield College. Anne will be there to explain her project and make arrangements for future interviews (anonymity is available, if desired).

M Factor Screening X WAM Theatre

Hosted by WAM Theatre in collaboration with WANDER and the Center for Listening and Presence, the screening will feature a special talkback facilitated by Berkshire-based certified Menopause Coach, Edi Pasalis. The community is invited to a joyful and empowering Black History Month Drag Story Hour on Saturday, February 15th at 11 AM at WANDER Berkshires. This free event uplifts Black voices in literature and our community, featuring renowned storyteller Sativo Green in a dynamic and engaging celebration of books, music, and crafts.
As part of this special event, every child in attendance will receive a free book to take home, fostering literacy and expanding their personal libraries. Through captivating storytelling and interactive activities, children and families will engage with narratives that highlight Black excellence, resilience, and joy.
