DRAG WORKSHOP SERIES in collaboration With Seeing Rainbows + Berkshire Pulse + Foundry
Looking to up your game as a drag performer? Tired of your moves? Need some help killing it?! Want to ignite your true dragarama voice?!! Come join us to increase your moves, dance skills and overall performance quality in a three workshop series that ends with a performance at The Foundry in West Stockbridge to kick off pride month!!!
At each workshop we’ll learn new moves, find ways to create interesting choreography that highlights your skills and makes you stand out and get feedback on how to sell it. This is not Ru Paul, but a community building non-competitive art fest that will give you confidence to be the big bold beautiful fully integrated dragstar that you want to be!
Sign up fast because we’re capping participation at 10 so each person gets tons of airtime to shine. Please bring a song that you’ve been working on and one you want to dive into. These two songs will be part of the end of session drag performance fest hosted by Tipsy MacBoozle at The Foundry.
This series is hosted + taught by Tom Truss, who is an actor, dancer, educator and raging fag.
For over 30 years he’s been working with people of all ages and abilities in the world of dance and theater. He started wearing his sisters’ dresses when he was 13, and even though he got in trouble for it, he kept on doing it. His favorite character is Tipsy MacBoozle, a drunken cabaret singer that leads sing-alongs. He loves playing Tipsy because she allows his true voice to shine.
